DC control power cabinets
Description
DC control power cabinets type K-PANEL are used in electric stations and substations for uninterrupted power supply to the control circuits of protection, automation devices, alarms and control of K-MVS integrated switchgear. K-PANEL type DC control power cabinets are also applicable in other industries.

Specificity

It draws electric power from the battery, charges and recharges the battery automatically using built-in chargers and rechargers,

distributes electric power supply between the users,
-
provides selective fault current / overload protection of inputs and outgoing lines;

provides continuous control of bus voltage quality, and alerts of any DC failures or deviations;
-
provides continuous control of direct voltage mains ground insulation resistance, and generates a low-resistance signal;
-
detects connected lines where an earth fault occurs;
-
generates a general warning alarm in case of protection system trips, tie current failures, or charger/recharger power failures;
-
measures the basic battery variables.

Humidity level: 80%-98% (depending on cabinet design);

Installation conditions: enclosed rooms, away from direct exposure to sunlight and precipitations.

Design
K-PANEL type DC control power cabinets may be one of the two designs depending on the rated capacity of the integrated batteries, i.e. up to 50Ah and up to 120 Ah.
1. A cabinet with the batteries installed in the lower compartment, and DC voltage switchgear breakers, instruments and devices installed in the top compartment.
2. A panel comprising two cabinets, with the batteries installed into the right-side cabinet and other devices installed in the left-side cabinet.
