Purpose
KRUS-Zapad Company produces CK-TERM industrial electrical heat tracing (EHT) systems using high-end technology, top grade materials, and a proprietary software package.
KRUS-Zapad Company relies on these resources to perform full-scale design, engineering, generation and implementation of roof heat tracing solutions.
An EHT system for industrial building roofing ensures a long-term and safe life of the roofing, and therefore of the building itself, fracture protection of its external faces, rain protection, normal functioning of stormwater drainage systems, timely defrost water removal from the roofing, and pedestrian protection against snow and ice and icicle fall hazard in the autumn, winter and spring.
Heat tracing of roofs is essential for many industrial buildings as it may impact the process directly. For instance, melt water ingress may damage the roofing of a switchboard room or a finished product warehouse, while road icing in front of the gate and icicles falling from shop rooftops onto pedestrian walkways may inhibit passage.
Heat traced roofing does not require mechanical snow removal and thus rules out potential personnel falls from roofs or damage to roofing material.
Heat traced rainwater gutters and pipes do not freeze, they allow the snowmelt to drain and will not crack or crash down.
A CK-TERM series EHT system contributes to a longer roof life, protection and dependability of the rainwater pipes and gutters.
Operation Concept
A roof and rainwater drainage EHT system includes attachable heaters and an automatic heat tracing control system. A control system integrates temperature and precipitation sensors that turn heating on only in case of snow or ice, or in conditions favouring snow or ice formation.
